Climb Ben Nevis in winter with a guide
West Coast Mountain Guides have been guiding hillwalkers and hikers safely to the summit of Ben Nevis all year round since 1988.
Climb Ben Nevis in Winter Outline
Ben Nevis, at 1345m (4409ft), is the highest mountain in the United Kingdom and dominates the skyline above Fort William, in the Scottish Highlands. Due to its elevation and location, it is often covered in snow and ice through the cooler months, which can start as early as October, and last well into the spring. During this period, Ben Nevis, or simply ‘The Ben’ is transformed into a winter wonderland for hillwalkers, who will take on the challenge of climbing Britain’s highest peak via The Mountain Track (also known as the Pony Track or Tourist Path) from Glen Nevis.
Our qualified and experienced mountain guides, all of whom will hold their Winter Mountain Leader award and are all themselves active mountaineers and climbers, are here to help you reach the summit safely.
